KBA Welcomes New Board Member

Earl Jones , Senior Vice President, Urban Operations of iHeart Media has joined the KBA Board of Directors.

His mission is to create radio stations that entertain and educate the community. Earl has received numerous awards throughout his career including being named one of The 35 Most Influential African Americans and Best Managers in radio by Radio Ink magazine.

Earl is the past Chairman of the Illinois Broadcasters Association Board of Directors and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., NFL Alumni Association, NFL Players Association, and the Norfolk State University Athletics Foundation Board of Directors. He graduated from Norfolk State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He was a 3rd round draft choice for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons in 1980 and played for five years before his retirement.

Jones and his wife Dolores have three children.
