The Kentucky Broadcasters Association is saddened by the passing of Charlene Stats, wife of former Kentucky Bureau Chief of the Associated Press, Ed Stats.

Charlene was very active in community life as her husband Ed was in his. Our thanks to our higher power for not only allowing all of us who were AP members to know Ed but also his partner in life, Charlene who faced Alzheimer’s with great courage.

Funeral services for Charlene were held Juky 16 in Louisville.
