News Director needed!

This is a management position that oversees the operation of the news department and must be available and on call 24/7 for news/weather breaking stories.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Writing 12+ local new stories daily with actualities
• Voice newscasts for 3 locally oriented stations.
• Cover local meetings
• Prepare 6-8 stories daily for digital news service that is emailed to subscribers

This position is a permanent, full time, with regular morning hours, a few late night meetings, and some Saturdays. It requires an energetic, locally focused, and news oriented person who is “ready to go” in the event of breaking news.
