Description: Street Team Crew member to be part of our street teams and the face of the stations. The Street Team will be interacting with listeners at events, setting up displays, facilitating games as well as other duties as assigned by the Promotions Director. The successful candidate will have the proven ability to interact with listeners, and musical artists, while managing quick event set ups, tear downs and everything in between. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to take direction, possess excellent communication and customer service skills and enjoy working in a team environment that is dynamic and fast paced.

Under the supervision of the Promotions Director, the Street Team member is responsible for assisting in the execution of any and all station and company events. This may include concerts, live remote broadcasts, station appearances, internal company events and/or conferences and more. Any events that will be serving alcoholic beverages will be staffed with only employees who are 21 years or older.

Responsibilities of this position may include the following:
•Setting up station events: raising tents, plugging in sound systems, putting up signage/banners.
•Interacting with listeners, leading games, and operating our prize wheel, and perhaps speaking on the microphone/PA.
•Successfully communicate with several different types of positions: listeners, employees, management at events, and clients.
•Assist with administrative duties as assigned by the Promotions Department.
•Other duties as assigned.
•Entering all contesting into promosuite
•Scheduling social post and contest
•Manage promotions inventory
•Run errands
Requirements for this position include the following:
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
•Use of your cellphone
•Must be 18 years or older.
•Must hold a valid Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clear driving record.
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule and have a positive attitude

News Director

Thunderbolt Broadcasting has a rare full-time opening for a news director. We serve Northwest Tennessee and Southwest Kentucky and are situated in the hometown of the University of Tennessee at Martin. Our community expects someone who can reach down deep and tell the story.

Assistant News Director

Responsibilities: The Assistant News Director is the producer, host and anchor or back-up producer of daily news programs such as Front Page, Morning Edition and/or Mountain Edition. The Assistant News Director has significant responsibility for the production of local public affairs programming. Duties include the scheduling of guests, conducting interviews, writing stories, voicing newscasts and producing long-form reports on news and sports throughout the region. The Assistant News Director recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates the progress of student staff members and volunteers, assuming the responsibility of the News Department in the absence of the News Director.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field with on-air and news experience. Knowledge of computers for word processing, data management and digital editing. Experience in interviewing and feature production. Must be well organized, able to work well under pressure because of daily deadlines and possess a clear and authoritative on-air presence. Must be able to operate a variety of studio and remote audio equipment. Ability to recruit, train, supervise and evaluate student personnel and volunteers. Maintain a valid driver license.

Desired Qualifications: Graduate level work in communications or related field and/or extensive experience in writing and production of newscasts, documentaries and other long-form news features. The ability to reconstruct priorities with effective time management skills. Prior experience in sports reporting.

Summit Media Corp-Louisville is currently seeking a Traffic Manager for its 4-station radio cluster in Louisville, Kentucky. You will work closely with our sales, programming, and business office. Responsibilities include producing and reconciling the daily commercial programming log, inputting broadcast orders, managing inventory, and maintaining traffic records. This position requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to work with constantly changing environments.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. All employees are expected to bring a positive attitude to the work place and be cheerful, cooperative, and productive. May be asked to perform others duties – as needed – for the effective operation of the stations. You must have prior radio experience and proficiency with computer programs and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows Environment is a plus. News Director

News Director needed!

This is a management position that oversees the operation of the news department and must be available and on call 24/7 for news/weather breaking stories.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Writing 12+ local new stories daily with actualities
• Voice newscasts for 3 locally oriented stations.
• Cover local meetings
• Prepare 6-8 stories daily for digital news service that is emailed to subscribers

This position is a permanent, full time, with regular morning hours, a few late night meetings, and some Saturdays. It requires an energetic, locally focused, and news oriented person who is “ready to go” in the event of breaking news.
